arx Fatalis

The first-person RPG Arx Fatalis is headed to GameTap courtesy of Arkane Studios. Released in 2002 Arx Fatalis is often overshadowed by Elder Scrolls III Morrowind which was released only a few months prior. While it’s easy to draw comparisons between the two, Arx Fatalis offers a much more focused, linear experience and could be considered a classic in it’s own right. Check out a trailer and some screenshots after the break.

Nice, I always back down on buying it when it goes on sale on Steam, but now I’ll have no excuse not to play.

Yeah, I always wanted to try this. The controls are a bit odd. I didn’t feel comfortable buying it outright, but I’ll sure as heck play it on GT.

I was thinking of picking this up on GOG, but now I don’t have to ^_^

Wow, I love the horribly cheesy naration in that trailer.

Also, I didn’t know this was released on the xbox, nor that it was that recent. The PC control scheme is so arcane I figured it was released long before developers realized that players don’t have octo-arms, like they do.

Speaking of Morrowind, is GT even going to get Morrowind?
