This week saw four new additions to GameTap’s Coming Soon section - THQ’s combat simulation Full Spectrum Warrior, adventure game sequel Syberia II, the tycoon-style Paws & Claws: Pet Vet, and the unique crime drama/mahjong hybrid, Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion.

Full Spectrum Warrior is a real-time tactics and combat simulation game published by THQ and created by Pandemic Studios, developer of the Mercenaries, Destroy All Humans! and the Star Wars: Battlefront series. Originally created as a training program for the United States Army, Full Spectrum Warrior is an extremely realistic combat simulation, with players controlling the Alpha and Bravo teams of the 159th Light Infantry. Full Spectrum Warrior received almost universal critical praise, with Official Xbox Magazine claiming that it redefined “both the war and strategy genres.”
Syberia II is the sequel to Legacy Interactive’s point and click adventure epic. Kate Walker returns in the continuation of her grand adventure, having abandoned her stressful life in New York to accompany an eccentric inventor to Syberia. Syberia II features improved animation and visual quality over its predecessor, as well as a helpful story recap for those who did not play the original Syberia game.

Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion
In ValuSoft’s unique puzzle adventure Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion, players use their skills in the traditional tile game of Mahjongg to untangle webs of mystery and bring criminal scum to justice in the seedy town of Metro City. Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion features a vast city with more than twenty locations to explore, multiple mini games that include DNA analysis and interrogation, and the ability to move up the chain of command with ten unique ranks. Can you bring mob boss Don Diamante down? The answer is in the tiles in Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion.

Syberia II is a great game!
Full Spectrum Warrior and Syberia 2 seem like fine games–but is it wrong of me to be looking forward to the Mahjongg title a little more?
There are certain kinds of casual games I don’t think I could bring myself to pay cash money for, but I eat them up on services like GameTap.
Aricene: absolutely not. The premise is so absurd that I’m looking forward to it too.
I’m looking forward to all of these. Especially Paws & Claws. I used to want to be a vet when I was young, now I can finally fufill that dream.
