Beyond The Sword is an expansion to one of GameTap’s most popular games Civilization IV, it’s also today’s new release. As the title implies the primary focus for this expansion is the period of human civilization post discovery of gunpowder. As with previous expansions BTS adds plenty of additional content in the form of new scenarios, new civilizations, new leaders, and new units. The CivIV experience is further enhanced with addition of random events like tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, and diplomatic marriages as well as a heavy emphasis on espionage, and new victory conditions. Civilization IV: Beyond The Sword is available today for GameTap premium subscribers.
Have Civ IV Warlords? Go ahead and delete it from the download manager, the Civ IV Beyond The Sword download is also bundled with Warlords. Your save games are in the documents folder and will be retained.
