The Pipeline 10.08.09: And We’re Back

It's A Series Of Tubes

So you may have noticed a lack updates lately. Sorry about that, we had a bit of a clog in pipeline that was just cleared out to today (apparently Zangief was shaving in the shower, gross). The good news is I’ve got a fresh list of upcoming titles packed to gills with top-notch games, too many to list here. In addition to the new games each week we’ll be releasing at least 2 existing titles re-encoded for 64-bit compatibility. These old games have been added to the upcoming list denoted by “BC”, enough about that though, hit that jump and feast your eyes on what’s coming out in the next few weeks.

Encoding - Scientists deliver the new born game and it’s hauled off to the “Encryption Crypt” where dark priests practice their black arts and incantations, sealing the game’s contents with an ancient rune.

In Testing - The encrypted game is then sent to GameTap HQ via a series of tubes, where it is poked and molested behind closed doors by our friendly and diligent test monkeys.

Ready - The testers and publishers judge the game, always staring, always judging with their cold, uncaring eyes… and with their stamp of approval the game anxiously awaits its big debut.

Coming X.XX.XX - Mark your calendars, the date is set and our little bundle of joy is definitely on its way… err, we’re pretty sure it is, well it’s probably coming on that day.

BC - Back catalog 64-Bit conversions, these are existing titles that we are re-encoding to our new 64-Bit OS compatible encryption scheme.

All new titles are being encrypted with 64-Bit compatibility unless otherwise noted.

Rayman Raving Rabbids (RRR), this week’s new release, is a bit of a departure from Rayman’s excursions as an action-platformer. The kidnapping of Rayman and his friends by the lunatic rabbits Rabbids serves as a catalyst for this collection of mini-games that range from the ridiculous to the absurd. Events such as a cow-tosses, dance-offs, competition eating, and cow milking are just the tip of the iceberg . Rayman Raviing Rabbids is available today to GameTap premium subscribers.
