3 x 64 = AWESOME!

I’m happy to announce that Frozenbyte’s puzzley platformer Trine is headed to GameTap’s games-on-demand service in the near future, and what’s more, it will be our first 64-bit compatible game for Windows. There is no release date yet but late September / early October is a likely time-frame. You can check out a demo for Trine here.

I swear you do this just to piss me off. Wait until I buy a game, and then release it on subscription…

So, anybody have any subscription requests?

Really cool at least it is 64-bit compatible.I didn’t do my homework when I subscribed to GameTap because I have 64- bit and the only games I can use are browser games. So I’m glad GameTap is doing something really cool for us.Thanks and keep up the good work.

64 bit for you, modding for me, every one wins!

Well, thank you for the 64-bit news about this. I haven’t tried the demo yet, should be good. Oh, I just bought portal, gonna add that, or is it just when Buster buys the game?

I only monitor Buster’s purchases ;)

My awesome work laptop was my only 64-bit system…….Now, how will I get any work done?!? LOL :)

I know it’s pushing it considering how long it’s taken for the the 64-bit compatability, BUT how’s Windows 7 compatability coming along (you might need another blog just for that)? I’ve been testing the full Win 7 retail (32-bit) and it’s a more solid than Vista ever was. I’ll probably load my work laptop with Win 7 64-bit soon and was hoping that the 64-bit compatiablity will extend to that version of windows as well, got anything on this?

Windows 7 should work. At least, I believe it does. The difference was 32-64, not OS.

I’ve been running Windows games fine on 32-bit Windows 7(GO GO MSDNAA!).

I’m not 100% sure but I think things are pretty running pretty smoothly in Win 7 now. There are probably a couple games here and there will have issues, but for the most part GT and Win7 are getting along nicely.

Well, the moment of truth…will we actually see this today? The official 64bit thread has a post from a moderator that said that “If everything runs smoothly, there is a good chance for a Thursday launch” (paraphrasing). *Crossing fingers*

(That is to say it’s already released, there are some important things in the forums you may want to read, nothing huge, just some odd display errors.)
